About the Opportunity
Academic project sponsorship is a flexible pathway for companies to engage with 7Epsilon and digital manufacturing innovation at different levels:
- MSc taught / final year / group design projects (2–3 months): Short, affordable, ideal for testing ideas or small challenges.
- Year-in-industry placements (12 months): Students embedded in your company, applying 7Epsilon methods to live processes.
- MSc-by-Research (12 months, via Mechanical Engineering or ZI): A dedicated researcher develops AI-enabled or digital solutions tailored to your challenge. Projects may be engineering-focused (Mechanical Engineering) or AI/data-driven (ZI).
- PhD (3–4 years): Long-term, breakthrough research with access to multi-domain expertise.
Project themes can include:
- AI and Deep Learning methods for manufacturing data.
- Predictive maintenance and diagnostics.
- AI-enabled root cause analysis and FMEA support.
- Automated inspection and digital quality assurance.
- Machine learning and optimisation.
- Industry 4.0 / 5.0 data integration.
